This is one of the original barracks still standing and preserved, although since then the location became a store, a bar, and nowadays (2022) a restaurant.

Then

At the beginning this was one of the small barracks in Batey. After Sosúa's designa- tion as a Municipal District in 1959, this building used to hold the offices of the Civil Registry where people could register newborns, weddings, etc.
