In 2001, with the shareholding of the Sosúa Products companies, the Casa Marina Reef Hotel was built on the land where the factory had been, and next to the Casa Marina Beach Hotel. In 2022 the hotel Casa Marina Beach & Reef is still operating as one.
Then
The Cooperativa Industrial Lechera, C. por A. was founded in 1941. It started on the porch of a house in Bombita where a few settlers began to make butter. In 1951 the CILCA inaugurated a new factory in Batey. In 2001 the factory was moved from the place where it had been for 50 years (next to the synagogue) to the land near the Ganadera on the Sosúa-Cabarete highway.
